Help me make a new playlist!
Posted by Ali Sweeney on Feb 20, 2012

Hi everyone,

Last week I got seriously teased on set when a Boys II Men song came up on my playlist. But come on, don't we all have some songs like that lurking on our MP3 players? So let's put together the ultimate embarrassing playlist. You know it will be fabulous.

Tell me in the comment section below about some of the tunes you wouldn't usually admit to loving, and I'll put together a list you know you'll play over and over again.

Ali, I guess we would be getting teased together, because I still have Boys II Men on my playlist too! lol

I have a lot of "Popera": Il Divo, Josh Groban...I probably would get teased for that. :)  And I still like some of those songs from the 80's best, so yeah...I'd be getting teased a lot. lol

"She's a lady" by Tom Jones

Hanson.  Haha.  I luuurved them when I was probably a little too old to admit it.  And I love me some original Britney Spears and bubblegum pop when I run.

I would really get teased I have a Wiggles sound track on my play list and alot of the same as the rest of the ladies on here....what can I say we have awesome taste in music!!!!

Love ya Ali!!!

Good stuff!

Funky Cold Medina & Baby Got Back would be on my list.

Here is my crazy list.....

Xanadu, Spice Girls, Jellous Fellas-Dimples T, Someday-Mariah C, & yes, the  Grease soundtrack

Ali I realize I'm a little late but I have a couple that everybody laffs @ when I play them on my cell.  One is The Scotsmans Kilt and then there is They're Coming To Take Me Away.  Scotsmans Kilt will really get them going.

mine would be one day at a time sweet Jesus

Hi everyone,

Last week I shared a fast-paced playlist that I put together for my shape-up week workouts. Now I want to make a great playlist for spring.

There are four songs that I'm currently obsessed with (Shattered by O.A.R., Hey, Soul Sister by Train, Good Life by One Republic, and Sing by My Chemical Romance). I could listen to them over and over again—and I have been. So I need your help to come up with a new playlist.

Please recommend your new favorite songs...let's broaden our musical horizons and discover new music together! Thanks!

Hi everyone!

It's Day 3, people! So far my #ShapeUpWeek is going well! If you watched The Biggest Loser last night, I hope it helped inspire you to keep working on your goals. So far this week, I've noticed that the hardest parts are finding the time to work out (go figure!) and getting healthy things to eat when I’m on the go. This is one of the things I love about doing a shape-up week—I start to notice all the little bad habits I've let slide into my daily routine!  While I'm being so particular, I become really conscious of all this stuff.

Yesterday I had chicken for dinner on set, and I had to pick the skin off myself, since I was eating the dinner they serve for the crew while we're shooting. Today I'm flying to New York. This might be the ultimate test—trying to eat healthfully on an airplane. Eek! This definitely requires planning. (I’ll let you know how it goes.) I am going to fit in a workout before my flight and I wanted to share with you the playlist I made for this week!

It's a speedier list than my normal workout playlists, which tend to feature fast and slow intervals. Enjoy! And keep us posted about your shape-up week! :)

My "Crisis" Playlist
Posted by Ali Sweeney on Feb 16, 2011

Hi everyone,

I was recently featured in the 25 Things column in Us Weekly . Thanks for all your responses to that! It's fun to see how much we have in common.

Many of you have been asking me what songs are on the "Crisis" playlist I mentioned in #6. That came up when I was taping the @RachaelRayShow , too!

So for the folks at The Rachael Ray Show , @Snugglefree , and everyone else who was wondering...here it is!

I love putting together playlists for every mood. Do you have a "crisis" playlist? If so, what's on it?

New Year, New Playlist!
Posted by Ali Sweeney on Jan 14, 2011

Hi everyone!

Any excuse to make a new playlist, right? I took Winky for a hike last week (gotta keep up her new health regime in 2011, too!) and realized I needed a new mix for the new year, so I when I got home I put this fun one together.

What are your favorite songs from 2010? If you leave your suggestions in the comment section below, we can put together the AlisonSweeney.com version of a best-of-2010 playlist and post it on the homepage!

Holiday Tunes!
Posted by Ali Sweeney on Dec 6, 2010

Hi everyone,

I’m so excited for the holidays. I already have my tree up! Of course, I have plenty of things left to do—I haven't started my holiday shopping, and we still need to take our holiday card family photo. We tried the other day, and let's just say someone (ahem, Megan) was not in the photo-taking mood. So we decided to reconvene when everyone was feeling festive.

Decorating the tree is one of my favorite activities of the year, and it’s even better when there’s fun holiday music playing. So, without further ado, I present to you my holiday playlist.

There is so much to choose from in this category. What are your favorite holiday songs and albums?

xo

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for all of your spooky song suggestions! Here, in no particular order, are the five songs I decided to add to my Halloween party playlist:

1. Kel67 Disturbia by Rihanna
Kel later added, "Just thought of another one Devil Inside by INXS!"

2. Suapuff Witchy Woman by The Eagles
A lot of you guys suggested this song, but Suapuff went above and beyond—suggesting a total of 16 songs! Suapuff also left me (and Dave) this cute comment: "May you all have a spooktacular good time!  : D"

3. Terri Lewis I Put A Spell On You by Bette Midler
Terri also suggested "Monster Mash !!!"

4. Shalan Brooks Jump in the Line by Harry Belafonte
Shalan added, "[This song] always reminds me of Beetle Juice Movie when I hear it. You have to Jam when you hear it... lol."

5. Erin Chambers Superstition by Stevie Wonder
Erin also suggested "Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell."

Thank you Kel67 , Suapuff , Terri , Shalan , and Erin , for your creative suggestions. Your five songs have been added to my Halloween party playlist located on the right side of the homepage.

I’m really looking forward to hearing your songs play at my party this weekend. Thank you again for all of your thoughtful suggestions. Happy Halloween!

xo
