everytime the P90X commercial comes on my dad keeps saying that he would like to try it out, so little does he know i got him that for christmas this yr. i cant wait till he opens it and tries it cause itll be funny watching him try to keep up....looks like an insane workout, and if he doesnt use it alot i just might give it a try myself so its kinda a gift to me also

Has been wanting to lose weight so bad for so long but felt like she's not had the tools or that she couldn't. So our family has decided to buy her gifts this year to help her on her journey. I've purchased a journal, 'fitboook' (3 ring binder that has printouts of different @ home workouts), a daily calander to give her something to plan workouts in.  My brother in law is getting her a soft weighted ball for workouts and maybe even a set of dumbells. I'm really excited to be able to help her and support her on her fitness journey. Can't wait to show her some workouts! There's so much more that I want to say, but I'm sure that I just don't have the room.

Darn I can't edit that post. I'm speaking of my mother in law in the above post.

Great idea Ali, thanks.

I think the #1 problem for people in getting healthy, is that they equate movement with building fitness.

We all have a window of opportunity for fitness activity.  As we get older, fatter; unhealthier, the window shrinks.

It's just as counter-productive to train outside the window, as it is to do nothing.  For the purpose of fitness, over training is just as bad as under training.

That's why tracking vitals such as nutrition, time in (heart rate) zone(s), evaporative cooling, weight bearing V. non-weight-bearing is essential to building fitness.

Are you really still giving me a big kiss and hug at the end of each entry?  If you're serious about it, get unmarried so I can reciprocate with an occasional foot massage.

Thanks again,
