hey i go walking or ride my staionary bike for a quick workout.
I would love to say I walk or do something, but unfortunantly I haven't found a way to relieve stress. I need to bc I am full of stress. I guess when I finally have time alone it's late at night and working out isn't what I want to do. I am going to try and buy an elliptical if we can afford it and that way I will be on it everyday and hopefully release some stress plus get my workout in!

Um...your forgetting the nice weather...wish we all lived in a mild climate to do this! Our local YMCA has an indoor track I utilize when the weather is not behaving here.
To squeeze in a short workout on days when things are too busy or even just need that stress reducer, I've downloaded Nike Training Club onto my iPhone. It's a free app that allows you can select from a large number of workouts based on what you want to target and select any music from your playlists. Its nice to be able to do even just a 15-minute workout on busy days or a longer 45 minute workout when I have the time. I always feel like I have done something productive...and really good for myself.
I try to go out for a run, but if I am not able to get outside I will do yoga or wii fit.
regardless of what i am doing or i know needs to be done i make sure i stop everyday and head to the gym.. I just start going to the gym with my husband 3 weeks ago, hes been going for years but the past 6-7 months hes been going everyday so i decided to go with him. I weight lift with him every night during the week and every morning or early afternoon on the weekends.. My body and mood are all the better for it.. Since ive been going i've lost weight so i feel better about myself and i've relieved stress so i feel better about everything else, not to mention i burn energy so i sleep better at night. Its great!
The thing i like about going with my husband is we push each other to go no matter what... There are days i'm super sore or super tired but hes not and he gets me to go with him and there are other days that the feelings are the opposite, he'll be super tired but i really want to go to the gym so i drag him along.
On busy days or days we are super exhausted we'll center our work out on a body part that doesnt have as many exercises to go thru, like the other night we were tired but wanted to go to the gym and we had to go later because we had things to do so we centered out workout specifically on our calves and the workout was only an hour..
On days we have plenty of time and a ton of energy we do the big workouts like legs or chest and triceps, which can take anywhere from between 2- 3 hours.
Our routines vary from week to week but i've already learned that i love to do and feel the most relaxed and workout the hardest when i do a leg or chest/tricep workout.. I strongly hate working out back and i feel weak or like im not working out hard enough during a back work out....and my least favorite exercise Deadlifts but i love to do the leg press and i love to bench press!
Hi Ali,
You are so great to keep us up-to-date on the fashions you wear, the cosmetics you use, etc. I've been admiring the reddish nail color you've been wearing lately (you had it on in the recent shower scene with Galen) and wondered what color it is. It is a great red -- not like fire engine red nor that dark funeral rose red -- just a really great shade.
Love all the new doings at Days! It is so good to see the infusion of the people who helped make Days great in the past, and I love the more family centered, super couple, romance oriented as opposed to dark and dreary oriented storylines. Keep up the good work!!
Love and hugs, Carol
Walking is my stress reliever just getting out in the fresh air changes my prespective on things. If it's been a stressfull work day I aim to walk part of the distance home ( to far to walk the whole distance) so that work issues a long gone before i reach home.
If i am not working late kicking the ball in the back yard with my older kids is a work out in its self.
